Conditions of Use

These Conditions of Use apply to everyone who visits or uses this website, whether or not you buy anything. Purchases are also governed by our Terms of Service, and our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using this site you agree to these Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Using the site

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to view and use this website for its intended purpose: learning about our work, buying Services, and managing your account. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

2. Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• Break any law or anyone else's rights;
• Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, other accounts, our servers or databases, or probe, scan or test the site's vulnerabilities without our written permission (see Section 8 for how to report a security issue);
• Upload or send viruses, malware or harmful code, or interfere with the site's operation (including denial-of-service attacks);
• Scrape, crawl or harvest content or data with automated tools, except standard search-engine indexing;
• Use the site or our payment system for fraud, including using stolen payment cards or filing false chargebacks;
• Impersonate any person or business, or give false information;
• Send spam, abusive, harassing, threatening or hateful messages through our contact forms;
• Copy, frame or mirror the site, or remove copyright and trademark notices.

3. Our content & portfolio

The website and its content — including the CND logo, the "Complexity Networks" name, designs, text, graphics, code and portfolio work — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Portfolio pieces are shown to demonstrate our work; unless you are the client who purchased that piece, you may not copy, download for reuse, resell, recolor and redistribute, upload as your own (for example to the Steam Workshop or a mod site), or otherwise use them without our written permission.

"Complexity Networks", "Complexity Networks Design Co." and the CND logo are our trademarks. Don't use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

4. Third-party names, games & links

Game titles, characters, logos and other trademarks mentioned on this site (including Counter-Strike 2, Steam and Valve) belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation or any game developer or publisher.

The site may link to third-party websites (such as Stripe, the Steam Workshop or project sites). We don't control and aren't responsible for their content, policies or practices.

5. What you send us

When you send messages, reviews, files or other content through the site ("Submissions"), you confirm you have the right to send them and that they don't break these Conditions. You give us permission to use Submissions to respond to you and provide the Services. We don't claim ownership of your Submissions. Please don't send passwords, card numbers or other sensitive information through the contact form.

6. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email us with: (a) your contact information; (b) a description of the work you believe is infringed; (c) the URL of the material; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will review and, where appropriate, remove the material.

7. Accounts

Keep your sign-in details secure and don't share your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Conditions, are used for fraud, or put other users or the site at risk.

8. Reporting security issues

If you find a security vulnerability, please email us privately with details and steps to reproduce. Please give us reasonable time to fix it before sharing it publicly, don't access or change other people's data, and don't degrade the site. We won't take legal action against good-faith research that follows these guidelines.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The website is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or free of harmful components, though we work hard to keep it secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these Conditions limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability relating to purchases is covered by the Terms of Service.

10. Governing law

These Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Disputes are handled as described in the "Governing law & disputes" section of our Terms of Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Conditions from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated Conditions.
